Sapna   Tue Feb 13, 2007 1:42 pm GMT
From last 04 years i'm working for improving my english speaking and read lot of materials for this reason. but still I have serious problem of hesitation and can't speak continuously even can't speak continuosly 03 seconds . When I try to speak my face expression automaticly changed and my voice start stammering,
Sometime I realize that i'm the most bad speaker in my office and can't grow my personality.

If somebody have solution for my problem kindly do mail in my mail i.d sanguine_man@hotmail.com

Sapna,

My best advice is to keep at it. When I was learning Japanese my host father told me that the same thing was happening to me... it forced me to take a couple of steps back and relearn some of the basics.

I wrote this article which you are welcome to use if you find it at all helpful:

Good luck!

Keep at it...

I feel like progress comes slow at first but then once you feel yourself improving it will come faster and faster. Nothing motivates like success!

Do you try keeping English radio or TV on in the backgroud all the time so you can get used to the natural rhythms of the language?

Good Luck!

Hi, everyone, it is very glad to browse the website first and this forum which is very useful.

I am also shy in spoken english. I always do some translating before I say something which makes the conversation very difficult.

Thanks for your advice. I will try.

I hear so many of you trying so hard to improve your skills and I am really quite impressed.

I have prepared the following article with my ideas on how to improve:

to be realistic, it will take you a few months to see much difference but I would be really interested in hearing back from you whether these ideas are helpful or not...

Thank you for taking the time to learn English. I am English and I find other languages difficult to learn. For example, I get nervous speaking French. Please don't be shy. We all make mistakes. Good luck.
